General Information

Landmark Global is a tracked mail service for parcels up to 30kg. You can book a collection from your door or drop your consignment off at our London depot.

With Landmark Global, longer transit times are offset by lower costs, making it ideal for non-urgent shipments. It's trackable all the way.

We offer three different options for Landmark Global depending on your customs arrangements, all of which will be shown as separate services in your quote. You will need to select the relevant service at the quote stage.

How It Works...

With our Landmark Global service, parcels are shipped from our depot. You have the option of dropping your consignment off at our London depot, using one of our collection services, or choosing one of hundreds of DPD or UPS drop-off locations nationwide.

Please add 1 working day to your estimated transit time if booking either an optional collection or an alternative drop-off option, to allow for overnight delivery to our depot. For some postcodes in London, we are able to collect ourselves and ship from the depot same day.

Once your shipment has been delivered to our depot, we will process it and forward your parcel to its final destination via Landmark.

If you are not able to print any of your documents, please get in touch and we will be happy to post hard copies to you.

Landmark Global (Delivered Taxes Paid)

This service is available Delivered Taxes Paid (DTP) - which means the shipper pays for any customs duties and taxes rather than the recipient.

It's available to Australia, Belgium, Canada and Ireland.

Landmark Global (IOSS)

You must be IOSS-registered to use this service and will need to provide your IOSS number.

Shipments sent on this service without IOSS registration will be returned to sender.

Returns

Please note: In the event that the receiver does not take delivery of your goods, returns can take up to 6 months for this service, as Landmark Global will hold mail at their depot until they reach volume.

Shipments to Australia

Shipments to Australia must not exceed a value of AUS$1,000 (click for live currency conversion to GBP).

Articles made of wood cannot be sent to Australia with Landmark, even if they are heat treated.

Shipments to Scandinavia

For parcels to Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden, the vast majority of parcels will be delivered to a pick-up shop near to your delivery address.

Size and Weight Restrictions

Restrictions may vary depending on the destination of your shipment. Here are the general restrictions for this service, with country-specific exceptions listed below:

• Maximum dimensions per item: 150cm (length, width or height)
• Maximum size: 300cm girth*
• Maximum weight for parcels: 30kg
• Maximum diameter for rolls: 40cm

Australia:

• Maximum dimensions per item: longest side 105cm
• Maximum size: 300cm girth*
• Maximum weight for parcels: 23kg

Belgium:

• Maximum dimensions per item: longest side 150cm
• Maximum size: 300cm girth*
• Maximum weight for parcels: 30kg

Canada:

• Maximum dimensions per item: longest side 200cm
• Maximum size: 300cm girth*
• Maximum weight for parcels: 30kg

Denmark:

• Maximum dimensions per item: longest side 150cm
• Maximum size: 300cm girth*
• Maximum weight for parcels: 20kg

Finland:

• Maximum dimensions per item: longest side 120cm; second and third longest sides 60cm
• Maximum size: 300cm girth*
• Maximum weight for parcels: 30kg

France:

• Maximum dimensions per item: longest side 100cm; second longest side 80cm; third side 60cm
• Maximum size: 150cm girth*
• Maximum weight for parcels: 30kg

Germany:

• Maximum dimensions per item: longest side 175cm
• Maximum size: 300cm girth*
• Maximum weight for parcels: 30kg

Greece:

• Maximum dimensions per item: longest side 200cm; second longest side 80cm; third side 60cm
• Maximum size: 300cm girth*
• Maximum weight for parcels: 32kg

Ireland:

• Maximum dimensions per item: longest side 150cm
• Maximum size: 300cm girth*
• Maximum weight for parcels: 30kg

Italy:

• Maximum dimensions per item: longest side 120cm; second longest side 80cm; third side 60cm
• Maximum size: 300cm girth*
• Maximum weight for parcels: 30kg

Netherlands

• Maximum dimensions per item: longest side 120cm; second longest side 80cm; third side 60cm
• Maximum size: 300cm girth*
• Maximum weight for parcels: 31.5kg

New Zealand:

• Maximum dimensions per item: longest side 150cm
• Maximum size: 300cm girth*
• Maximum weight for parcels: 25kg

Portugal:

• Maximum dimensions per item: longest side 120cm
• Maximum size: 225cm girth*
• Maximum weight for parcels: 31.5kg

Spain:

• Maximum dimensions per item: longest side 120cm
• Maximum size: 225cm girth*
• Maximum weight for parcels: 31.5kg

Sweden:

• Maximum dimensions per item: longest side 120cm; second longest side 60cm; third side 60cm
• Maximum size: 300cm girth*
• Maximum weight for parcels: 20kg

UK:

• Maximum dimensions per item: longest side 90cm
• Maximum size: 225cm girth*
• Maximum weight for parcels: 30kg

USA:

• Maximum dimensions per item: longest side 152cm
• Maximum size: 330cm girth*
• Maximum weight for parcels: 31.5kg

*Girth is calculated as follows: (sum of two smallest dimensions X 2) + longest dimension.

For example: for a parcel of dimensions 20 x 30 x 40cm:

(20 + 30) x 2 + 40  = 140cm

Volumetric Weight

Your shipment will be charged by either actual weight or volumetric weight – whichever is greater.

Volumetric weight is a value derived from the size rather than the weight of your parcel and may apply if your parcel is particularly large and contains relatively light items.

Landmark Global calculates volumetric weight by multiplying the three dimensions of your parcel together and dividing by 6000.

Surcharges

Consignments that exceed size and weight restrictions will not be shipped from our depot.

Service Restrictions & Prohibited Items

• You cannot send food of any kind (including non-perishable) using the Landmark service.
• Articles made of wood cannot be sent to Australia using Landmark, even if they are heat treated.
• Our Landmark service to Germany cannot be used to deliver to DHL Packstations.
